The Museum is Perfect for Your Next Function
The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American
History, the world’s largest museum of African American history,
is the perfect venue for your next special event! Our distinct venue
is a mark of architectural brilliance. Our facility offers a 317-seat
state-of-the-art theater, two large banquet-style galleries, two
classrooms, a computer lab, and a Rotunda area that’s absolutely
breathtaking. And, to add that special touch to your event, we can
provide private museum tours for your guest – a perfect addition
to the perfect event!
Located in Detroit's Cultural Center, the Museum provides the perfect
ambiance and services for your function. We are able to accommodate
weddings, recitals, family reunions, corporate meetings, receptions,
workshops, church dinners, lectures and many other events. Let your
next event be a part of history at the Charles H. Wright Museum
of African American History!
Minimum rental rates include:
- A four-hour event.
- Set-up and breakdown time.
- Museum staff to help pre-plan and facilitate
your event.
- Cleaning and security staff for your event.
Catering, Self-guided gallery tours, The Museum Store, Valet parking,
and Audio-Visual equipment may be added for an additional fee.
