FESTIVAL ATTRACTIONS

TASTE OF THE DIASPORA
Festival participants will be able to relax and sample dished from up to 20 kitchens specializing in African, Caribbean and Holistic Cuisine.  While enjoying the Tastes of Africa, participants will also have the chance to satisfy their appetites for knowledge with lectures and films throughout the weekend.

VENDOR MARKETPLACE
The Vendor Marketplace is comprised of over 150 vendors with merchandise made and inspired by African cultures.  As in the ancient African "centers of commerce," the Marketplace is a highly acclaimed attraction, bringing vendors from all over the world for this spirited display of goods.

AFRICAN WORLD FESTIVAL FILM SERIES
The Film Series for the 2004 African World Festival will present thought provoking and engaging films from the African Diaspora.  The subject matter will include uplifting, inspiring, and informative topics that are political, historical and artistic, appealing to young children and adults.

GREEK STEP-SHOW
One of the most popular events at Festival, attendance increases significantly each year.  Attracting people of all ages, the audience becomes mesmerized by the intricate, yet precise drill movements by members of the eight (8) traditional Black fraternities and sororities.  After the step-show, join members of each organization at the Wishing-Well as they present their contributions to building a dream.
