Location
The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American
History is located in the heart of Detroit's Cultural Center at
315 East Warren Avenue at Brush Street. The museum is located next
to the Detroit Science Center and within one block of the Detroit
Institute of Arts.

The museum is accessible to visitors with disabilities.
Elevators and ramps serve all public areas. A limited number of
wheel chairs are available. All of our exhibits can accommodate
strollers.

ATM
The ATM is located on the lower level to your
left after exiting the elevator.
Lockers & Coat Racks
Lockers are available for .50 cents each on the
lower level. Complimentary coat racks are available in the front
entrance on the main level.
Latimer Cafe
You are welcome to rest and relax in our café.
The museum does not offer a full service restaurant, however grab
and go sandwiches, fruit, and cold beverages can be purchased from
our vending machines; you may also bring your own lunch.
Parking
Buses may drop off students at the Warren entrance,
park along Warren Avenue, John R Street, or Farnsworth Avenue. Lighted,
affordable and secure parking is available behind the museum at
the Cultural Center parking lot. Enter from John R Street, a one-way
street heading south.
